In many political races, the majority of candidates represent the Democratic, Republican, Green, or Independent parties. While Libertarians also enter the race, they rarely secure victories. If we truly want to see meaningful change in our democratic system, we must take action ourselves rather than waiting for others to do so. We must embody the change we wish to see in the world.
Throughout my advocacy career—as the now-retired President of the Council @ Park Morton and as a businesswoman in emergency preparedness—I have collaborated with News Reporters, ANC Commissioners, DC City Council Members, Congressional Members, and Senators. Together, we have addressed critical issues impacting equity, housing, business development, seniors, individuals with disabilities, and youth, ensuring that the rights of the people remain at the forefront of policy and community action. My advocacy work has seamlessly expanded into multiple dimensions of emergency preparedness, allowing me to integrate community empowerment with practical strategies for resilience and recovery.
